Ms. Uminathi Gumede

Ms. Gumede was born and raised in Kwa-Zulu Natal (Durban), South Africa. Her family later moved to the Western Cape (Cape Town), South Africa. After graduating from high school she went to study in Gauteng (Johannesburg). She did her undergraduate degree in Counseling Psychology and honors degree in Industrial Psychology.

While pursuing her first degree she voluntarily committed herself to an organization called South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG). In SADAG, she assisted people living with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorder, ADHD, PTSD, etc. Ms. Gumede has also worked in a school for children living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) offering support and strategies to help with their social interactions, communication and to monitor their repetitive habits.

She is passionate about all these things. Being in Korea is fulfilling in so many aspects of her life.
