All-Day Attending Admission

When is an Attending Admission granted?

Attending admission is granted for students who wishes to join LIIP for more than twenty (20) consecutive days. This admission status is considered 'attending' because this is the minimum length of time required for a report card. Students are classified as attending even if they do not intend to be long-term LIIP students.

Process

  1. Student has interview with Mr. Park or Mr. Cook (waived if prior LIIP or STEAM student).
  2. Student takes an SR test (can skip if SR score is less than six (6) months old).
  3. Student has a Fountas & Pinnell (F&P) assessment with Mr. Cook or Mr. Caister.
  4. Parent meets with Mr. Park to discuss SR and F&P results and grade placement.
  5. Student formally admitted into the LIIP AD program after:
    1. Parent completes all paperwork,
    2. Parent signs a media release form for Student,
    3. and tuition, textbooks, and other fee(s) are paid.
  6. Parent checks off these requirements to prepare Student for LIIP AD:
    1. Student has met homeroom teacher;
    2. Student has requested supplies (refer to the supply list; check with Ms. Lee if uncertain).
    3. Parent has read, understood, and explained LIIP's Expectations & Rules to the Student.
    4. Parent has connected to LIIP with these apps:
    5. Parent has read and understood the LIIP Suspension Policy.
    6. LIIP confirms with Parent that all previous admissions steps have been completed.
  7. Student begins study in placed grade on a Monday.
